1. Problems plaguing the Naxxramas Wing #2 launch
Yes, that was intentional. The launch of the second wing in the Naxxramas adventure has had a few issues. First of all, players were having problems purchasing the wing using gold and more importantly there were numerous situations where players were double charged for unlocking both the wing and the full adventure. Ariannwyn was affected. Since her purchase was made on an iPad, Blizzard said to go through Apple’s support to handle the issue. We’ve done this and we are awaiting resolution. Blizzard is manually going through and reversing out double transactions for those using PC/Mac.
Players were also getting messages saying “Waiting for Authorization”. A fix was just put out yesterday (Saturday 8/2/14) that addresses that issue. (http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/forum/topic/13661256003?page=25#499)
Some players had their purchase go through but the wing didn’t unlock. Again, they are still working on the issue.
There was a hotfix that resolved the issue for many players but many more are still having problems.
2. Alexstrsza Nerfed In The Plague Quarter
It was discovered that if you play Alexstrsza against Kel’Thuzad in heroic mode, he will block the action and destroy the card shouting “This is heroic Naxxramas! I won’t stand for such cheap tactics here!”
3. August card back is announced. It’s the Icecrown card back. We have an image in the show notes.
Main Content: Naxxramas Wing #2
The second wing of Naxxramas has opened up and we’ve had a few days to play with it. Over all what are our thoughts at this stage of working through it? Normal mode? Heroic Mode?
Let’s look at each boss individually.
Boss #1: Noth the Plaguebringer
His hero power is “Whenever an enemy minion dies, raise a 2/2 skeleton.” (5/5 skeleton in Heroic mode). I beat him in normal with my Leeroy deck. I haven’t beaten him yet in Heroic. Reward: Stoneskin Gargoyle (3 mana – 1 dmg / 4 health minion – At the start of your turn restore this minion to full health)
Boss #2: Heigan the Unclean
His hero power is “Deal 1 damage to the left most enemy minion.” (3 damage in heroic) I also used my Leeroy deck to clear this one out.
Reward: Unstable Ghoul (2 mana – 1 dmg / 3 health minion – Taunt Deathrattle: Deal 1 damage to all minions)
Boss #3: Loatheb
His hero power is “Deal 3 damage to the enemy hero”. (3 damage in heroic). I had to switch to my control warrior to be this one.
Reward: Sludge Belcher (5 mana – 3 dmg / 5 health minion – Taunt Deathrattle: Summon a 1 / 2 slime with taunt)
Class Challenges:
The class challenge uses a pre-made deck to go against a pre-selected opponent. It’s designed to be focused on what each class does well. This wing saw the release of the Hunter and Mage challenges. Win you complete a challenge, you get a special class specific card.

I loved this challenge. Your entire deck is filled with only spiders. Webspinner – 1 mana, deathrattle: Add a random beast card to your hand.On death they summon a random beast. This was a unique deck and one of the only ones I thought that I might go back and pl...
