News

Dreamhack: Austin

We have a winner: Chakki – 15 Hearthstone Championship points and $8,000
Anything new come from the tournament? Not really. Mostly decks we already saw the week before with some minor tweaks.  Zoo, Shaman, etc.
This was a preview to what Blizzcon will be like.
Opinion: It’s more fun to watch HS tournaments at home than in person. Too much talk between matches and the slow pace is hard to focus.

I listen to a handful of HS podcasts but this one feels most like “home”. The friendly synergy between the hosts makes for a pleasant lostening experience about my favourite game. Only wish is that Ari could stay on the show; always liked her take on the cards. Keep up the great work. donuts#1520

LOTI podcast is a continual source of entertainment for me. Every week a quality 1-2 hour long stream of Hearthstone goodness is expelled from somewhere in Texas and brought to me. There is a consistent theme of fun and casual play, focusing on how to maximise the value of fun for new and old players. The hosts frequently immerse themselves in newer players (or ARE newer players), meaning that they are always looking out for them and considering the ways in which changes affect these newer players. The hosts – RealRealEspo, Dad and Squash are very fun and good at articulating their thoughts in an entertaining manner. The show, of course, isn’t perfect. Sometimes things go awry in terms of technical issues or content, but it is plainly obvious that everyone who works on the show cares deeply about its existence and about the content they make. I would highly reccomend Legend of the Inkeeper to any player of Hearthstone. (Also check out Squishie’s stream)
