I tell you this, for when my days have come to an end, you shall be king.” -Ben* Ben Lee (Game Director) – Battle Pass and a Progression system (source)* This year they took big steps towards making the game more affordable and will continue to try to improve that.* Reward and Progression system is something major they are working on now.* One goal for the new system would be to allow you to play your way, not tied to only Standard or Wild in order to obtain a majority of the games’ economic rewards.* Another goal is to ‘repack’ and not reduce, the current rewards to make it easier to understand and track.* More cosmetic rewards during each expansion cycle* More details to come with the next expansion’s reveal phase.* Basic/Classic Set* New modern Basic and Classic set is something the team has been working on and we will see the results within next year’s first expansion.* There will be no new replacements for the 5 neutral cards from the Classic set that rotated to Wild earlier this year, due to that.* Battlegrounds* The Tide Razor and Nat Pagle, Extreme Angler are in the process of being redesigned.* Balance changes are coming soon* Battlegrounds should get their rankings reset soon.  Seasonal resets and more to come.* Murlocs will be nerfed and Beasts will get a boost, with more details coming soon.* Nerfs/Buffs* With the next card rotation to Wild, we will see quite a few nerf reverts from Rise of Shadows, Tombs of Terror, or Descent of Dragons.  Also they want to revert nerfs for some cards that are already in Wild.* They are closely watching how decks are shaping up and how they feel to play against. * Expansions/Events* There won’t be a year-long narrative in the foreseeable future.* Events like Domb in the Tomb are not planned, but something they might do in the future.  Next time might make it shorter.* Evolve and N’Zoth, the Corruptor are 2 cards they would like to bring back in some way in the future.* Secrets in Paladin are really hard to design a...
