The Eighth Commandment reminds us that our words matter. We can use them to spread rumors, twist a story, or make someone look bad — or we can use them to tell the truth, protect others, and help when someone is hurting.
The Seventh Commandment reminds us to respect what belongs to other people. It teaches us to be honest, trustworthy, and content with what God has given us — instead of letting “I want it” take over.
The Sixth Commandment reminds us that love is faithful. God gives marriage, family, our bodies, and the people around us as good gifts — and He teaches us to treat those gifts with care, respect, and love.
The Fifth Commandment reminds us that life is God’s gift. It is about more than not hurting someone — it is also about protecting, helping, caring for, and showing love to the people God created.
The Fourth Commandment reminds us that honoring others means more than just doing what they say. It means listening, showing respect, helping, and recognizing the important roles God has given them in our lives.
The Third Commandment reminds us that God sets apart time for His Word and worship. Through His Word, the Holy Spirit gives faith, strengthens faith, and keeps pointing us back to Jesus.
The Second Commandment reminds us that God’s name is holy and good. We do not always use His name rightly, and His name is not just a word to avoid misusing — it is the name we call on in prayer, praise, and thanksgiving.
The First Commandment reminds us that God belongs first in our hearts. We do not always fear, love, and trust Him above all things — but Jesus did perfectly for us, and through Him we are forgiven and made His own.
