This week I’m joined by the deeply calming and quietly powerful Louise Rogers, a yoga and meditation teacher, whose presence alone is enough to make your shoulders drop.
Louise has spent over three decades practising yoga, over a decade teaching it, and more recently deepening her work in meditation, nervous system regulation, and midlife emotional wellbeing. In this conversation, we explore what it means to really meet yourself, understand your emotions, and listen to the quiet inner nudges so many of us learn to ignore.
Together we talk about:
✨ The “speed bump” of midlife, and why so many women feel confused, exhausted or unsure
✨ What happens when productivity stops being your identity
✨ Why slowing down can feel confronting, and how to begin anyway
✨ Reclaiming self-trust when you’ve spent years prioritising everyone else
✨ Why anger often shows up in midlife (and what it might really mean)
Louise also shares her beautifully honest story of discovering yoga in her twenties, her first silent meditation retreat in India, and how her practice has evolved as she’s grown, changed and (her words) “become more grown up”.
If you’re in a season of rediscovering who you are, or you’re craving more grounding, compassion, and inner steadiness, this one will feel like a deep exhale.
Books we mention:
The Atlas of the Heart - Brené Brown
Say What You Mean - Oren J Sofer
