Words are cheap. We can say we have faith and say we have love, but if we don’t act on it by physically helping our neighbors, or investing into relationships so we can share the Good News, then our words have little value. The Good News we proclaim is realized through action. By actually doing something. Instead of saying, “It’s good to share the Good News,” we must actually share about how Jesus works in our lives.
Jesus actively responded to the whole spectrum of physical, emotional, and spiritual needs around Him. And he acted by praying, too. He didn’t just observe people. He actively chased souls, He actively prayed for people, and He actively served. In Mark 10 we read, “Even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Consider how God’s love has changed your life. Think about the friends, mentors, and pastors in your life who were active in helping you come to know Jesus. Then, consider how you might actively encourage someone in your life to follow Christ. So be bold, be active, and be diligent in pursuing and sharing about Jesus. This is Luis Palau.
