Love scams aren't some new, elaborate internet based way of conning you. They've been around for hundreds of years; Norwegian-American Belle Gunness dates back to the 1880's and there's no denying she wasn't the first to come up with the idea.
Last year Canadians were separated from nearly 23 Million of their hard earned dollars thanks to Romance scammers. Some are losing much more than their homes.
While some of these con-artists are home grown, most are not. As a few hard nosed RCMP detectives determined the problem has reaches far beyond Canada's physical boarders.
