Show Notes:
A big thank you to Andrea and to you for hanging out on the playground today!
I loved our chat. I loved how we talked about everything – we tackled sexism, racism, intersectionality, misogyny, lack of Canadian experience (from a Canadian’s perspective!). We didn’t shy away from anything…and we also talked about love, kindness, compassion, empathy, relationships, joy, and even stand-up comedy!
We talked about the role of mentorship in our lives and careers, and the importance of saying thank you to our mentors. She spoke about what it means for a mentor to not just believe in you, but to also give you opportunities and to sponsor you.
Andrea shared her pivots with us, as well as her dedication to entrepreneurship. As you heard, there are a lot of initials behind her name, so please read the show notes to learn what all of them mean!
Leadership, inspiration, believing in yourself and living your true life. As I listened to her words, I reflected on them. She does not have to mute herself anymore. She does not have to live smaller than she is.
We spoke about security and that when people feel secure, they don’t feel threatened.
And what is she most proud of? Her relationships with people, and the fact that she leaves things (her work and people) better than when she found them.
Her credo – if I can’t help people, at least I try not to hurt them. She walks in love and speaks the truth in love.
