All Christians live in the midst of a profound tension: Jesus has established his Kingdom in his life, death, and resurrection, and yet we await the Kingdom of God to be fully realized. What are we supposed to to in the meantime? How are we to live in this tension?
In John 13, Jesus instructs us on how to live in this tension - "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another." But how should we love? How can we love like Jesus is calling us? What makes this commandment new? And what happens when we love like this?
