This Father’s Day we explore the profound, biblical role of fatherhood and manhood. We’ll delve into the positive impact that fathers and male role models have in shaping the lives of children. From providing guidance and support to instilling values and faith, discover how the presence and leadership of a father can transform a child’s future. Celebrate the strength, love, and wisdom that fathers bring to their families and communities, and be inspired by stories of faith and fatherhood from the scriptures.

Discussion topics
  1. No wrong or right answers here… how important are fathers to the family, to society and to the Kingdom of God?
  2. How is God like an earthly father and how is God different from an earthly father?  It may help to read Psalm 103:13. As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.
  3. Discuss Proverbs 23:24 which says, “The father of a righteous child has great joy; a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him”.
  4. In Genesis 1:26-28 it calls mankind to subdue and have dominion.  We also discussed an experiment conducted in the 1960’s by John B. Calhoun called Mouse Utopia. What do you remember about this experiment? What lessons can we learn in regards to Mouse Utopia and our “dominion mandate” given in Genesis 1?
