REUPLOAD: To start off AAPI Month, I wanted to talk about Japanese holidays and events and why they're so important to me and my own identity and connection to my culture. I was also able to ask my mom, my sister, and my bachan(my grandmother) about their thoughts too. So, I'm lucky enough to share the perspectives from 3 generations on holidays and their meanings to each of us. I hope you enjoy and I hope you learn a thing or two! Love, Mikaela

REUPLOAD: For this episode, I wanted to talk about what it means to be Asian American. I reached out to a few people I know to get their perspectives too. Of course, this is only a small group of people and our views cannot possibly represent the ideas of all Asian Americans, and the people I spoke to are East Asian so their experiences may be vastly different from others who are also lumped into the Asian American umbrella. I'd like to say a  big thank you to Helen, Russell, Morgan (@hellomorganlee), and Lynna (@bigworldlittlelynna) for their thoughts.
