Have you ever considered adopting a senior dog but wondered about what it might entail? Today we are talking with Zina Goodin, the Executive Director of an amazing organization called Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary.
Zina Goodin and her husband love older dogs. Together they run one of, if not the most, well-known senior dog rescues, Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary. Their Facebook page is a phenomenon with over 1.8 million followers. This amazing nonprofit sanctuary is in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, known as a place “where love never grows old.”
Zina and Micahel provide a life-time home for over 100 senior dogs with over 200 more in forever foster homes. Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary strives to raise awareness of the joys and challenges of living with aging dogs. While never forgetting where these dogs have come from, they want to emphasize the positive aspects of their life in retirement.
Zina and Michael do not concern themselves with the quantity of time that they have left, rather the quality of the life they can provide them for that time.
