Today we’re talking nerdy about how the experience of love changes your brain. This solo episode with Alex Nashton will explore the neuroscience of love, how the experience of love changes your brain chemically and structurally, how different types of love impact the brain differently, and the impact on your brain and nervous system when love is lost.
This episode will focus primarily on romantic love, but will also look at the love parents have for children, owners have for pets, love between friends, and love for nature & activities.
Today’s episode is inspired by the Thriving Relationships Coach Certification program that Alex is currently a student in. In this six month long program, Alex is learning how to coach and counsel couples through power struggles and conflict and support them in moving towards happier, healthier, long-term relationships.
