Starting black history month with the killing of Tyre Nichols by black police officers is not what should be. We should be uniting even if we have differences. I am certain this is not what our forefathers had in mind. We have to do better, we includes America, white America. Laws need to change. The police cannot police themselves any longer. This behavior, the abuse of the black man is systemic and has to change. Our black men are not protected. We open with a moment of silence then dive deep into a discussion about the killing. It is scary and disturbing. We are boy moms and this could have been any one of our babies or any one of yours.

Happy New Year!!! 2023 come on in sit down and behave. This month's episode is short and sweet. As 2023 ushers in and settles down Leslie and I shared our views on the year to come and resolutions. Change is inevitable. Daily we see change and our experiences change. Our thing is why wait until 1-1-2023, 2024, 2025, etc... to make changes? Why wait for a resolution? Great conversation this week. Our girl Leslie Lee went on a whirlwind trip that included Amsterdam and South Africa. We had to get the tea. Every black person needs to visit the motherland and truly get an understanding of their origin, culture, and heritage. It's a necessary pilgrimage for black folks. In all honesty, it's the black man that was stripped from their everything. Africa is on my list for sure.

We also touched on the unbelievable story of Shanquella Robinson. Our hearts ache for her family. Our heartfelt prayers are with the family. We want justice. We could not imagine this happening to any of our children.

This month we chatted it up about those who loved us first. You guessed it our parents. As my generation ages, we become the caregivers for our parents. This job is not for the weak at heart. It is not an easy task. Not everyone is cut out to be a caregiver. If you aren't, I suggested you make some plans before you are thrown into the position. There is so much to deal with that has nothing to do with giving care. We deal with other family members who are not on the frontline telling us what to do, and how to do it. There are financial obligations, living arrangements, etc... We shared all of the tea.

Finally our September episode. Sorry for the late release. Sometimes life just happens. In this episode, we'll let you hear the behind-the-scenes conversation prior to the start of the show. This is really where the fun is. We have a blast each month. This month we went political. Politics is wrapped up in love talk. We also offer up some advice that relates to our individual professional careers.

We were out for June. COVID took over & tried to take us out, but we kicked COVID's butt. This virus is no joke. I'm thankful I got vaccinated.

We chatted about the "WOMB". Why anyone other than a woman gets to decide what we can and cannot do with our womb is beyond us, We are not happy. How about if all the women decide what we need to do to the scrotum & the penis ignoring what men need or want.

We recorded this episode with mixed emotions. So much is going on in this America. Our hearts are heavy. Our prayers go out to all of the families in Buffalo, NY, and Uvalde, TX. The hate is real. It shakes me to my core. My people are not imagining it we are living it every day. TARGETS! It is also incomprehensible how a boy so young could go into an elementary school and randomly shoot people. Needless to say, we chatted about these events. Of course, we ended the episode chatting about love. I invited four guests, Jay Taylor, Tiffany Yetts, Jeanette Taylor, and Janice Smith. I wanted other single people to weigh in on the late Kevin Samuels ideology and dating in 2022. Social media will have you thinking if you are not married there is no happiness. You may be surprised to learn these singles are happy and living very fulfilling lives.

Just us ladies having real conversations and sharing those conversations with whoever listens. Sometimes we are silly and sometimes we are serious. The same holds true for the topics.
