In this powerful teaching, I share the profound revelation GOD gave me about agape love versus phileo love. Since January 31, 2025, GOD has been teaching me through experience what true love really is. Using John 21:15-17, I explain how JESUS asked Peter if he agape loved HIM, but Peter could only respond with phileo love. Agape love is deep, compassionate, moving love that endures through hardship. Phileo love is brotherly love that leaves when it doesn't feel good. GOD is agape love (1 John 4:8, 16), and HE commands us to agape love the brethren. I testify about painful experiences of people saying "I'm out" or "I'm walking away," and how GOD taught me that agape love doesn't walk away. The SPIRIT quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing (John 6:63). We are to lay down our lives for the brethren (1 John 3:16). Building a community of love means we agape love even when it's hard.
