Tolle Lege! Latin for “Take up and read”
Let's Be like the Bereans! Acts 17:11
Hey Everybody! Study with me! We learn how to love God from His Holy Word...Let's take a walk through His Word to see what life lessons we can learn to apply.
You may continue to follow the Bible Reading Plan found on www.bible.com. Some suggestions are "The Full Story," "One Year Chronological Bible," or "the Bible in One Year Nicky Gumbel". Remember, go at your own pace. You may also decide to follow another chronological plan. Whatever works best for you.
Every 2-4 weeks, check back and we can go over a highlighted chapter of the reading. This will help to build an enjoyable reading habit, as you journey through the Word of God. Here are three options:
Option 1: The pattern is to read/view the devotional and chapter(s) assigned for that day. On the next day, review and re-read what you read the day before. On the second day, here are a few suggestions for studying:
1. Journal insights, and revelations from the Holy Spirit
2. Write down questions
3. Do a word study using online resources like blueletterbible.org or biblehub.com
4. If you are an artist, illustrate what you have learned
5. Read additional commentaries
6. Read different translations Happy reading, studying, and communing with God!
Option 2: The pattern is read one chapter per day and follow the above suggestions for studying on the same day you read.
Option 3: The pattern is read one chapter every other day and follow the above suggestions for studying on alternate days.
Happy reading, studying, and communing with God!
