Dan is a celebrated masters athlete in his mid-60s, who known for his extraordinary achievements in running. A Boulder resident since 1977, he has set multiple age-group world and U.S. records in middle-distance events, earning him a reputation as one of the fittest and most dedicated runners in the masters category. His story embodies the spirit of Boulder’s vibrant running community, where he trains daily while balancing a professional career in business consulting. 

In 2020, at age 61, he set a world record in the men’s 60-64 mile (4:49.08), along with U.S. masters records in the mile (4:53.01 on road), 3,000m (9:58.77), and 5,000m (16:48.67).

Beyond his running accomplishments, Dan is a kind, humorous, and smart individual, and we thoroughly enjoyed our conversation with him.

Tim O’Donnell is one of the most decorated American triathletes of his generation — an Ironman champion, ITU Long Distance World Champion, and  the runner up at the 2019 Ironman World Championship in Kona. He’s also called Boulder home for over 16 years, balancing life here as a professional athlete, coach, and family man alongside his wife, Mirinda Carfrae.

Sophie Linn is from Adelaide, Australia and amongst other things, she is a professional triathlete who competed in the Paris Olympics in the women's triathlon. She also won a bronze medal in the 2022 Commonwealth Games in the triathlon mixed relay.  Before all of that she ran track and cross country for the University of Michigan; and before all of that she competed at the 2012 Olympic Trials for both running and swimming in her home country. Not only is she a superior athlete who dabbles in long-distance nordic skiing and ultra running, but she is a genuinely kind individual who coaches with Boulder Mountain Warriors. Megan is an amazing individual. In addition to her long list of accomplishments and accolades, she is a wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter, and an incredible member of our community. 

Also, she is the 2016 USATF Trail Runner of the Year at the ultra and sub-ultra distances. She is a five-time national champion, a North American Mountain Running Champion, and a six-time member of Team USA. She graduated with honors from Duke with a degree in Neuroscience and received her M.D. from Stanford Medical School. At Stanford, she also earned a PhD in epidemiology, focused on female athlete health and performance research. In 2024, she launched "Huzzah," sharing female athlete performance science.

She is the cohost of the wildly popular podcast Some Work All Play, and she is the proud coach to her husband, David (and of many other superstar athletes).

Willow Rockwell is a retired American professional mountain biker known for her success in cross-country racing. She gained recognition in the late 2000s, winning multiple national titles and earning medals at the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships. Rockwell was a key competitor in elite mountain biking, celebrated for her technical skills and endurance. After retiring from professional racing, she became an advocate for mental health awareness and youth development in sports.

3Her accomplishments on the bike include 3rd place medals at the 2009 and 2010 UCI cross country World Championships, and 2nd place at 2010 UCI cross country World Cup. 

She lives with her family in Erie, and after spending time with her, your life will  be better. Immediately.

Myles Rockwell is a retired American professional mountain biker best known for his victory in the 2000 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in the downhill category. He was a dominant force in downhill racing throughout the 1990s, competing for top teams and earning multiple podium finishes. Rockwell’s aggressive riding style and speed made him a standout in the sport. After retiring, he remained involved in the cycling community, contributing to bike development and mentoring young riders.

Myles is an inductee into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame and the US Bicycling Hall of Fame. He is also a co-founder of 303 Dirt in Boulder, Colorado.  He currently lives in Erie and is the operator and founder of Rockwell Renovations
