Police Captain Nils Olinsen is a six-foot, blue eyed, two-fisted specimen of humanity who had never taken graft and did his duty. In 1929 Chicago quite a few of the policemen were linked with the mobsters and politicians , sometimes making their authority difficult to sort out.
When Olinsen's daughter is presumed taken by the local mob the outcome is not as certain as it seems at first.
