We’ve all been hurt and can name the person. They caused deep pain, and everything in us wants to make them feel what we felt. But Jesus says something crazy in Matthew 5:38-48, “Love your enemies and pray for them”. This is countercultural; instead of revenge and retaliation, He calls us to respond the way God responded to us. When Christians live this out, the world changes.
