I could NEVER look in the mirror and like what I saw.  

The crazy thing is, I had to learn how to LOVE WHAT I SAW FIRST before I could be completely free from the yo-yo weight cycling.  I needed to strip each part of me down to the core of why I was emotional eating every time things were falling apart. 

I had to break apart each reason why I was dropping my exercise routine every time life and work became too stressful.  And what I found was, that deep down I am a human being who desires love, support and comfort that I was NOT finding in the gym and I WAS finding in food. 

So that’s when I learned how to slow the fuck down and listen to my body’s needs instead of silencing its beautiful signals!  I learned how to give it the pleasure and acceptance it was seeking instead of forcing it to go to a gym when I hate gyms. 

After really honoring my unique body’s wisdom — I found pleasurable movement that is sustainable for my lifestyle.  I finally developed a healthy relationship with food without restrictions, rules, or deprivation — something I had struggled with since I was a teenager. 

When I accepted my imperfections and forgave myself for past choices, it became possible to lovingly give my body what it naturally wants...  not because I broke up with burgers and fries — but because I allowed myself to be imperfect.
