Loved Even When We Don’t Deserve It
“But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8 (CSB)
In a world that often values people only when they’re perfect or performing, God does something completely different — He loves for real, with no strings attached. He loved you before you had it all together, before you tried to do the right thing, even before you thought about Him. And He proved that love in the most radical way: by sending Jesus to die for you.
Jesus wasn’t forced. He chose to give His life for me and for you. He knew all our mess-ups, our doubts, our flaws — and still chose to love us all the way.
Some people struggle with the idea of God’s “wrath,” thinking it clashes with His love. But here’s the truth: God hates sin because He loves us. Sin destroys us and separates us from Him. That’s exactly why Jesus came — to deal with sin once and for all and open the way for a new life.
Something to think about:
Are you living like someone deeply loved by God? When do you most need to be reminded of His love? How can you show that love to others today?
Today’s Challenge:
Whenever you start doubting your worth, remember the cross. That’s where God shouted to the world how much you matter to Him. Live like someone who’s already been loved and saved!
Prayer:
“God, thank You for loving me even when I didn’t deserve it. Thank You for sending Jesus to die for me and give me a new life. Help me to live every day remembering that I’m loved, and help me share that love with others. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
