Nothing motivates the heart to love more than recalling the greatest act of love that is done on their behalf. This is the principle behind the command to love one another as yourself. Because it is not a command to love in a way you might want to experience love. It is rather a command to love in the manner in which you have been loved. The "as I have loved you" ( John 13:34-35).
