Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 334 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond

There two very important concepts to discuss today. One is the difference between loving peace and pursuing peace. Loving peace is described as a person who avoids a quarrel and someone who tries to the best of their ability to stay away from what is negative or perhaps even a dispute. Pursing peace, however describes what happens when the quarrel has already taken place and there has been a dispute.

It is common for people who have quarreled and are into some kind of an argument to avoid each other. It is then necessary to pursue peace in order to make peace between them. This is such a great attribute to try to do that.

Loving peace applies between a person and his friend, whereas pursing peace applies to one’s dealing with other people. Pursuing peace also is if peace runs away from a person; when your friend doesn’t want to make peace with you, makes disparaging remarks or says things that are not pleasant about you. Then, you should run after him and you should appease that person, that is pursing peace. Pursing peace may sound difficult, so you must make the effort to bring peace between two people at any given time to the extent of even pursing peace, which indicates how much effort must be made to do this. There should be absolutely no limit. The consequences of this action—this self-centeredness and arrogance is usually expressed as the opposite of peace and unity; it prevents the unity of people being together. I’m not sure why anybody would want to be in that situation.

Loving peace and pursuing peace is the ability to nullify yourself and think as though sometimes you don’t matter. It’s true. We may say, “Well, if I don’t matter, what’s the point?” You do matter, just not to yourself. To other people you should be as humble and as simple as can be. Let the humility take over you, so much so, that pursuing peace and loving peace become two of the most important character traits of your life and everything that you do. I can tell you for a fact that when you love someone, and you love everyone the same way, and you pursue this love “in” everybody and “with” everybody, not only would benefit you but also the whole world. Your life will be above and beyond what you’ve ever imagined.
