Lived in Virginia all my life and had not heard of this case till a few years ago.

this story proves that True Love conquers all
Well written, In spite of the deep seeded racism, and acts of cruelty, and anti- miscegenation laws which enforced racial segregation, this story proves that True Love conquers all. Once I began reading, I couldn't put it down.

I though this documentary novel was written very well . The events were easy to follow. This was a page turner .
I recommend this to book clubs and the leisure reader.
