RELATIONSHIPS 2.0 — Part 2Low Boundaries. High Inflammation. The Body Eventually Shows.— ○ —→ taking inventoryYou know your triggers. You know your architecture. You know what gives you energy and what takes it away. Now you bring that same level of audit to the relational field — what's working, what's no longer functional, what's been quietly distorting.→ raising the baselineWe're going to hurt each other. That's the floor, not the exception. The work is not eliminating harm from relationship — it's raising what the lowest form of that harm looks like. Not becoming brittle. Not sterilizing the experience. Raising the baseline.→ the baseline questionNot "will I get hurt" — but what is the baseline of acceptable hurt here. Past relationships had a baseline too, even if it was never named. Now it gets named. That's the standard.→ the self-responsibility incompatibilityI've attended to my stuff that I threw in the middle of the room. Now your stuff is sitting there unclaimed. If someone isn't self-responsible — isn't aware of their own activation, isn't willing to own what's theirs — and you are, that is an incompatibility. Not a moral failing. A mismatch.→ intention vs capabilitySomeone can tell you their best intentions and mean every word. You may also be able to see clearly that they don't yet have the capacity to get there. That gap — between what they say and what they can actually do — is information. And at a certain point you can't consult the relationship for reassurance that overrides your own awareness.→ the body keeping scoreIt starts as anticipating someone's needs. Reacting to someone's emotional activation. Adapting to keep things smooth. And it can end with your body keeping score. Chronic people-pleasing, suppressed boundaries — the research connects this directly to autoimmune disease. Chronic self-abandonment becomes architecture. The body eventually shows what the internal landscape has been holding.→ generative not suffocatingThe goal is not perfect, harm-free, hyper-independent relationships. The goal is richly fulfilling ones — where you can be honest about who you are, where the incompatibilities don't have to fester, where the baseline is held. Generative. Not suffocating.— ○ —0:00 - taking inventory with deeper awareness1:15 - we will hurt each other: raising the baseline not eliminating harm3:00 - the baseline question: what is acceptable hurt4:30 - the self-responsibility incompatibility6:00 - intention vs capability: the gap between saying and doing9:45 - the body keeping score: anticipation becomes adaptation10:00 - chronic people-pleasing, autoimmune connection, low boundaries high inflammation12:00 - the goal: generative not harm-free, holding the baseline— ○ —Part of the Relationships 2.0 series.
