The Gold Coast played host to some of Australia's best running talent over the weekend, seeing the likes of Ed Marks, Izzy Batt Doyle and Haftu Strintzos have big days out, particularly Haftu in setting the new NR in the marathon.

The half marathon was also the chosen event for the debut of the LCA fantasy draft, a fun concept but who got the chocolates? (Or the vanilla slice in this instance).

We chat NR, PB, DNF and the potential phoenix rising from the ashes at Bibra Lake.

This week Tim spends more time talking about shins than his actual training week. Jerrym has a bittersweet report on Perth's gambling capital but has a good week on his feet.
