Big changes are afoot ahem, for cycling in Edmonton! As of August 30 you can ride the LRT with your bicycle at any time, on any day and in any direction! This is an important changes for multi-modal transportation and will help you get where you want to go.
There are a few other resources for getting where you want to go. One of them are bike mechanic classes. If you’re looking to ride, but worried about how to keep your bike wheels turning smoothly check around for classes, such as the ones Bike Edmonton or other bike
groups offer.
Another resource is your AMA membership that, handily includes a bike assist – it’s included in all membership levels and means that when you’re on a ride, and something goes wrong, but you’re not quite confident enough to tackle the repair yourself, you haven’t got to that section in your bike repair classes or you’re just not feeling it, you can give AMA a call and bish bash bosh, you can get roadside service wherever you are. Keep in mind they need to be able to reach you!
So, lots of exciting ways to keep your beloved bike working for you.
