During the "Mad Men" era, America was becoming saturated with LSD!

LSD permanently changed America. The first drug that the intelligentsia and social elites picked up on as a tool for personal development, for enlightenment, even. For a brief moment, taking LSD was akin to a religious sacrament. BUT. It was also a dark Pandora’s box. The CIA tried to use it as a mind control drug on U.S. citizens, and LSD helped birth the drug culture that still pervades America today. Did it derail the countercultural movements of the 1960’s.
