Luc Maisonobe of French company C-S is known as "the father of Orekit". This open governance low level flight dynamics library is used by many private and government organizations worldwide to identify and track space satellites.  


Luc Maisonobe joins Cold Star Project host Jason Kanigan to discuss:  

  • how the idea of Orekit was conceived
  • the way the technology required for Orekit was identified
  • where the data for Orekit comes from 
  • what Luc would do differently now from a process perspective compared to the project's beginning
