Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to: Review the role of, current guidance, and approved indications for GLP-1 RAs in the management of T2DM, Describe the difference between primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular events and the mechanism(s) proposed for GLP-1 RAs that may reduce cardiovascular risks in patients with T2DM, Evaluate the benefits and risks of GLP-1 RAs based on results from recent clinical trials, especially in terms of primary and secondary cardiovascular prevention, Integrate GLP-1 RAs, as appropriate and using shared decision-making, into the care of patients with T2DM.
