* Vs 1 - Jesus was praying, a disciple was listening.

* He saw something, heard something that he wanted.

* It was so real, so intimate, and genuine - he hadn’t seen prayer like that before.

* Imagine if you wanted to be a speaker and you heard the most eloquent communicator deliver a message - you’d want to learn how he did it.

* This is what happened with the disciple.

* Vs 2-4 - Jesus gives him an example.

* He gives him the bases to cover:

* 1) Respect - “Our Father….hallowed be your name”

* 2) Rule - “Your kingdom come”

* 3) Needs - “Give us this day our daily bread”

* 4) Sin - “Forgive us our debts”

* 5) Temptation - “Lead us not into temptation”

* Close with intercession.
