12 Aug 2019 - Rev. David Pileggi asks us to consider what faith is? The Hebrew word emmunah, often translated faith, is more fully to be consistent, lyal reliable, faithful. It is much more than belief in propositions. What does faith do? It doesn't shrink back, in perseveres, it trusts God even when all seems lost. The enemy of faithfulness is insecurity. Insecurity leads us to sins like greed and idolatry. "Fear not, little flock," Jesus exhorts us. Instead of worrying, let us act out our trust by putting first the Kingdom and the needs of others.
