In this text we see Jesus’ parable of the Rich Fool. This one hits toward the heart of our culture’s mindset. The man Jesus describes would be thought of as wildly successful by our cultural standards. He achieved everything he set out to, in even greater excess than he anticipated. Yet, God calls him a fool.
