Welcome back to Daily Dose with Pastor Josh Mayo!
Today’s verse comes from one of the most powerful pictures of grace in all of Scripture:
“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion…”
This moment reminds us that the father ran before the son could ever explain himself. God’s grace outruns our guilt. Repentance is not met with condemnation, but with compassion, restoration, and love. No matter how far we’ve wandered, God is always watching for our return.
Today, return to Him with confidence—He is already running toward you. And be intentional to show compassion to someone who needs grace from you.
Passage Mentioned:Luke 15:20 — God’s compassion meets us before our excuses ever do.
