39 In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a town in Judah, 40 and she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. 41 And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit, 42 and she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 And why is this granted to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For behold, when the sound of your greeting came to my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. 45 And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.” — Luke 1v39-45 (ESV)

8 Now while he was serving as priest before God when his division was on duty, 9 according to the custom of the priesthood, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple of the Lord and burn incense. 10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the hour of incense. 11 And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. – Luke 1v8-11 (ESV)
23 The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; 24 though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand. – Psalm 37v23-24 (ESV)
9 things that Gabriel told Zechariah.
Don’t be afraid (v13)
Your prayer is heard and Elizabeth will bear you a son (v13)
You shall name him John… (v13)
You will have joy and gladness at his birth (v14)
John will be great in the sight of the Lord (v15)
John will be devoted to the Lord (no wine or strong drink) (v15)
John will be filled with the Spirit in His mothers womb (v15)
John will bring knowledge of the Kingdom (v16)
John will go before him, in the spirit of the Elijah, turn the hearts of the fathers to the sons… and make ready a people prepared for the Lord. (v17)
WHAT YOU’RE CARRYING IS BIGGER THAN JUST YOU

How do we do that?
a) Teach people to believe the way and word of God
b) Invite people to belong to a healthy community
c) Disciple people to become followers of Jesus
