Only one of the four Gospel writers mentions that Jesus was laid in a manger. In fact, the word "manger" only occurs four times in the New Testament. Apart from Luke, no writer of Scripture gives the manger a thought. Is this detail about where Jesus slept of any significance? What does it tell us about Him, His work and our hope?
