We continue our series with Luke 5:27-39. Jesus had an uncanny ability to shake up the categories of culture and religion throughout His life and ministry. This text is a great example of that. It sets the tone for much of what is to follow. This text also serves as a needed corrective for us as we assess our own comfort with known patterns that can come to limit our ability to engage in God’s work in our midst.
