* All the gospels give us pictures of Christ’s compassion.

* Matthew shows His compassion feeding people.

* Mark shows His compassion turning away the rich young ruler.

* Luke shows His compassion raising someone from the dead.

* Here’s the key - compassion is compassion because it’s about OTHERS!

* The ultimate goal has to be LIFE for others in order for it to be compassion.

* But Christ recognized life only comes through death.

* In Matthew a fish had to die to bring life (food).

* In Mark the rich young ruler had to die to his stuff to have life.

* In Luke the man had already died and now could be brought back to life.

* To help others experience life we must teach them the value of death!
