Anyway, this is a tough chapter, especially if you imagine what it would’ve been like to be on that ship to be so obsessed with survival that you don’t eat for two straight weeks. That is really hard to imagine. Especially when the food was there. They are so stressed out in a way, this mirrors, Jesus trial and suffering, which is at the end of the book of Luke, and here. We have the trial of the Ship rack that Paul and the other 275 people experienced.

Some people would say that this is one of the key chapters of the book of acts. Paul giving his defense before King, Agripa, and you see Paul’s sensitivity that he actually wants to help turn King, a gripa, a part of such an evil, wicked family to become a Christian to follow Jesus. You see Paul himself was an evil and wicked person, and so it makes sense to him. The other evil and wicked persons would be able to turn to Jesus just like he didthe heart and soul of Paul, and his compassion, the compassion, that Jesus had sons of the father would have sons and daughters of our heavenly father. Would have we seeing Paul in this chapter.

Now Paul is presenting his case, or is accused in front of another governor of the Roman Empire. People refusing to let him go. Just makes it so that he is able to preach before more people. He preachers before Felix and his wife, Drew Cilla. Drew Cilla was the daughter of Hart Agrippa number one. And this sister of a Grippin number two and Bernice that we will meet in the next chapter, scratch that actually this chapter, and so Paul continues to preach to Kings and governors. Just like Jesus said.

The resurrection. The resurrection! The first resurrection! Blossom and holy are those who participate in the first resurrection! Jesus, resurrection started at all the apostles in James, and John are announcing that the resurrection of the dead was happening, because of Jesus, the priest, the captain of Temple garden this edges. He did not like this at all. This is where, at all, Henderson on this chapter of the resurrection, of course Jesus walking through, and I asked with the disciples, and revealing himself to them One interesting note, is that the couple, most likely, a man and a woman traveling to their house, a man and his wife, a wife and her husband, Claire us, and his wife traveling to the house in a mass where they lived. Their eyes were opened in a very different way than that first couple out of Andy eyes were opened.

Paul stands trial a lot. People bring charges against him a lot. This is reflective in the book of Luke of Jesus, talking about his followers being brought before kings and governors. And Paul is the natural continuation of what Jesus said would happen with his disciples. In a fact, in a way, Luke begins his second book, this book, by saying that the first book was what Jesus began to do in Teaching. Now. Jesus continues to do and teach things through people like Paul through people like fill up through people like Peterthrough people like Barnabas, and we continue to see his life followed by those who are following him.

One thing to note in this chapter that is easily overlooked, at least by me, is that the high priest and Anaya is different than the high priest anus. My talk to text is really hilarious. Because it just called the high priest. A bad word. This shows how easy it is to mistake. The name, a NNAS with a NANIUS. These are two different people. The high priest, annas had many sons, who were also high priest, and even a son in law, Joseph caiphas. But the high priest.Annanius is a different person. He interestingly, does have the same name as the person in Damascus, who was a disciple. But it is very important to note that this is a different high priest. It is also interesting to note that shortly after the conversation with Paul, within a few years or so, ananias is not the high priest anymore.

Paul gives a speech about his encounter with Jesus and his call to speak to the gentiles. This really really really makes the Jewish people mad. I wonder why it makes them mad? It’s interesting. How terms mean different things to the ages. A gentle is something that I read of as myself, I think of gentiles as good people like me. Why would the jews not like them? All I have to think about is today to understand how big of a deal. These terms are. I just have to insert the terms of today. Gentiles is just a Bible word. No one uses that word, and every day life that I’ve ever heard. But there is a term today for people who are not jews. You could use the word Palestinian. You could also use the word HAMAS. You could also insert some people like Osama. If we read it into their own history and read that Paul has been sent by God to the very enemies that have been destructive to them. The Roman people, people who have abused in most treated and tortured and mutilated them. We begin to understand why the people would be so furious. We also have in this chapter Paul claiming his Roman citizenship. Very interesting.

Paul comes to Jerusalem, and this is a chapter that is revisited quite a bit. Paul refers back to this later of what happened when they grabbed him and sees him in Jerusalem. The commander refers back to this event when he writes his letter to the governor. This is a chapter that is referred back to a lot. What did Paul do wrong? The eventual answer is that he didn’t do anything wrong. That he was innocent. This is a definite reflection of the end of the book of Luke, when the centurion says that Jesus did not do anything wrong, and that he was innocent.

We have a very interesting story. In this chapter of Paul. Preaching for so long that someone falls asleep. Of course, this is something that is very common to all people preachers, often talk way too long. And sometimes the preacher might even realize you know what I’m talking way too long, but the interesting thing about this passage is that this young man falls asleep. Falls from the third floor out of window and dies. At that point, Paul goes down and heals the man but then goes back upstairs and continues to preach until the sun comes up. Paul just doesn’t seem to get the hint that he went on for too long. He just keeps talking on, and on, and on. He is not the kind of guy to shut his mouth. He is a talker.I feel a little bit of a kindred spirit with him because I also can be a talker. We also have Paul journeying back. Talking with the effusion, elders and crying as they part ways.

We have some really interesting stuff happening in this chapter. Paul spends quite a bit of time in the city of Ephesus. We have the Holy Spirit. We have the Amazing Miraculous Healing through Evan, Pauls, apron or napkins. We have people who are trying to cast out demons, and they don’t know what they’re doing. And they don’t understand the power. They’re trying to use. The name of Jesus is not a power to use for your own purposes. We also have the power of Jesus to destroy wealth. Meaning. People are willing to destroy evil wealth in order to follow Jesus they get rid of sorcery and magic and Witchcraft documents that are worth 165 years of wages. That is so much money in any realm. If you imagine that if someone works for 40 years. That’s a long long time to work anywhere. It’s a long time for any career that would be more than four careers worth of wealth, the whole entire career. They burned them. Wealth is not something that needs to be held onto for its own sake. Sometimes evil just needs to be burned down.
