There's no audio drama this week. Sorry. Instead, Keith shares some behind the scenes glimpses at how the drama got started, and what its like to put a show together.
* Concept for the origins of the audio drama. Why Luke? Why do the added audio dramas outside the scripture?
* Audio commentary. Leads into the passage, or out of it to make a comment on the text, or add a slice of social life of the times. Examining who Luke would have interviewed. . when artistic license is taken, its only in these audio additions. Scripture is read as closely as possible.
* Sound affects. The goal is to try to be understated, but offer a way to feel in the scene, in the moment, or to be consistent in transitions. Where did the theme music come from? Ambience sounds that didn't make the cut.
* The evolution with angel affects. Going from none, to the thunder and harp affect.
* Finally, putting together a show. It can take a full 8 hour day. half to piecing roles together, and half to affects, transitions, and music. The rest is downhill, uploading, writing short show notes, and linking it together to schedule on the
