Kamloops Blazers’ forward Luke Toporowski suffered a lower-body injury on March 11 in a collision during a game against the Kelowna Rockets at Sandman Centre.

He has been out of the lineup since, but is primed to make his return in time for the playoffs, with his old team, the Spokane Chiefs, up first in Round 1. Game 1 is slated for 7 p.m. on Friday at Sandman Centre.

Toporowski enjoyed Easter Sunday brunch before hopping in with Kamloops Last Week to talk about the injury, his return, the unique schedule for the series versus Spokane, areas to target the Chiefs and the prospect of finishing the series down south, where he expects fans to come out in droves.
