In this episode of Luna Soul, Color Outside the Lines, we’ll be chatting about the Sacred Feminine.  According to the website, Home to Her, a movement dedicated to helping women and men reclaim Sacred Feminine wisdom, The Sacred Feminine is first and foremost a historical (make that her-storical) fact – as evidenced by an abundance of myths, art and archeological evidence dating back nearly 30,000 years. She is also a powerful spiritual idea in Her own right, with distinct characteristics and principles that distinguish Her wisdom from the dominant religious traditions of today.

Most importantly, according to Home to Her, She is the remedy for a world desperately out of balance. Female-identified bodies, along with attributes, emotions and experiences that have traditionally been labeled as “feminine,” have repeatedly and historically been viewed as less important and less relevant than male bodies, attributes, and experiences. The Sacred Feminine represents the drive to restore balance and wholeness first to ourselves, then our communities and our planet.

In this episode, we will delve into vulnerability and ends, visions and creations.  We’ll see the inexplicable ties between our own creativity, our giftings and healings, both for ourselves and others with my friend Candace.

In today’s episode, we will hear from a woman who who became a Catholic nun in 1964 and how she felt so inclined to loving her neighbors that she joined them as family in their Buddhist, Jewish, Native American, and Wiccan holidays and they joined hers with her Catholic ones.  She's the author of many books, including Sister Karol's Book of Blessings, Spells, and Folk Magic.  We’ll discuss altars, sacred spaces, prayers, spells, and rituals and be inspired to leave a candle burning all the time to remind us that God/Source/Goddess is always here.
