WORT 89.9FM Madison · LunART Festival Kicks Off Monday to Celebrate Women in the Arts

Professor Mary Perkinson kicked off the LunART festival Tuesday with a lecture and performance about tuberculosis and classical music. LunART is a celebration of women in the arts, and is back in-person this year after two years of virtual programming. This week’s program is full of great music, art, comedy, and even theater. Dr. Perkinson is a UW alumna and currently a Distinguished Associate Professor of Violin at the University of Nebraska, Omaha.
