Wow! What a journey; I've been gone from this podcast for 2 years but over the last few months I've felt drawn to do one more episode to wrap things up; a text from my friend Tawakkalt last week asking about the pod gave me the final push. I've recorded several ones but i finally made it to the end on this one. Lunch with Laide was the project that showed me I can do whatever I set my mind to, my experience with this podcast helped me set up my second podcast Baobab and Beakers and it helped me set up my Substack (To you,From Ore) and develop my creative non-fiction essays. I am very grateful for everyone who has listened, shared or asked about this pod; hopefully this episode is good enough for a final one.

2022. I didn't set any goals for this year and part of that translated into me taking a "backseat" from myself and observing how and where things will go. A good chunk of my retreat from creativity was fueled by my exhaustion from rejections from programs I applied to last year. But its a Friday night and I'm feeling bubbly so here's a new episode; the first episode of the year.
