The FBI conducted a sting operation in Minneapolis in 2018 which successfully recovered the slippers. And the FBI turned to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History to authenticate the shoes, which they did. Terry Martin and Jerry Hall Sulterman, I guess it's Soliterman."
