Chant our Lord’s triumphant lay
Not one touch of twilight sadness
Dims His resurrection day;
Brightly dawns the radiant east,
Brighter far our Easter feast.

He has opened heaven’s gate;
We are free from sin’s dark prison,
Risen to a holier state;
Soon a brighter Easter beam
