Procrastinating is Prioritizing.
Despite all the messages you hear to the contrary:
"Procrastinating means you aren't prioritizing anything."
None of that's true. In fact, I'd wager to say procrastination is the heart of true time management.
Look...
You are ALWAYS procrastinating something.
Seemingly being productive. Seemingly NOT procrastinating.
But really, you are procrastinating on something. Maybe it's taking the time to relax so you're not over-stressed. Maybe it's... I don't know, starting your own business on the couch instead of grinding slave work for your boss.
Whatever it is, there's another option, or optionS (plural).
There are multiple things you are procrastinating on, even if you do the seemingly productive/worthwhile thing (like reading this e-mail) right now.
By choosing what to procrastinate on, you are, in turn, choosing what to do with your time. And that's time management baby!
You are prioritizing what to do sort of in a reverse way by procrastinating.
So go ahead, procrastinate on the things you want to procrastinate on and you'll be on your way to good time management skills.
