In this episode, we sit with Caroline Preston Leighton, A muisc composer and author. Caroline from LINCOLNSHIRE shares about the months she spent living in a monastery - and how strange it was to re-enter society. She said that after spending five pensive months of her life governed by prayer, solitude and church bells, she found it hard to get accustomed to how "noisy" society was.

Ms Leighton was 28, writing church music, she became enthralled by "beautiful" Gregorian chanting and her interest developed into a fascination with monastic life. The experience was a "bit of a shock to the system" and she visited several monasteries across the country before finally managing to book a weekend stay at the Quidenham Carmel in Norfolk in 2016.
