Lyle was named "Player of the Decade" by Inside Lacrosse. At the University of Albany, he was a two-time recipient of the Tewaaraton Award (for Division I lacrosse's best player). In 2016, Lyle was the 1st pick in both Major League Lacrosse's (MLL) and National Lacrosse League's (NLL) drafts. In 2017, he won a Champion's Cup and was NLL's Most Valuable Player. Two years later in 2019, he won a MLL Championship and was recognized as the Most Valuable Player, again. Lyle remains one of, if not the best professional lacrosse players in the world, a Nike Athlete, N7 Ambassador, the CEO of Thompson Brothers Lacrosse and President of "4 The Future Foundation."
