Lynn Logic – Episode 41: The Eye Doctor

Hi! Lynn again.
For this episode, I tried to do something light and normal—like going to the eye doctor. Naturally, it went exactly how you’d expect it to go for me.

Episode 41 is a tale of two eye exams at the same company, with very different doctors and very different experiences—one a full 1-star nightmare, the other a genuinely lovely 5-star redemption arc. Because of course that would happen to me.

If you’re new here, quick recap: I’m the widow of a cross-dressing alcoholic, a survivor of a blood clot in my brain, and a person who seems to live under Murphy’s Law—but still loves to laugh. In this episode, I read both Google reviews I left—one brutal, one glowing—and talk about what happens when you’re treated like a problem instead of a person… and how wildly different the outcome can be when kindness, competence, and basic humanity are present. There’s PTSD, anxiety, bangs that time forgot, unexpected kindness, and the realization that the doctor—and the location—absolutely matter.

Same company. Different doctors. Totally different universes.
Moral of the story? Check the location… and maybe the bangs.
